Mr. Epperson,

My wife, my boys, a couple of friends and I went to Ringling Bros. Circus yesterday at the MCI center. Terrific show!! We were waiting to go through the gates at Chinatown, with hundreds of other people, and my wife and older son were ahead of my little guy and me. There were a group of people separating us and I heard my wife yelling. Two boys 14-15 yrs old had pushed my wife and son out of the way to go through the gate in front of them. My wife yelled at them and their father got in her face and started screaming at her to not tell his kids what to do. My wife doesn't take crap from anyone (all 5' and 100lbs of her) and stood up to the guy 6'4 240+. He grabbed her and shoved her and my son into the gate. I pushed through the crowd with my little boy and yelled at the guy to not push my wife. He turned and through a punch at me. Not even thinking, I grabbed his arm at pressure points L-8 and H-6 cranked it over my shoulder then turned and hit pressure point TW-12 and landed on top of the guy's shoulder. I then put him in a straight arm lock and within seconds security pulled me off of him. They then handcuffed and arrested him. They had seen the whole thing go down. I want to Thank you for teaching me to be calm (I didn't flip out and get in trouble). I normally would have punched the guy and beat him to an inch of his life. I also would have had a broken hand and would be sitting in jail. I didn't hurt him too bad -- I'm sure he has an awfully sore arm today and a nice sore neck were I casually placed my elbow when I took him to the ground. Anyway, Thanks for showing me what I know today. I successfully protected my family and that is what was most important. I can't wait to learn more. Many Thanks!!!

Best Regards,

Brad Krantz
